My Post-Study Abroad Life (Via GIFs)

Anyone coming back to the United States after being in a foreign country for sometime knows all to well how real reverse culture shock is. As in, coming back home after being gone for awhile is just weird. Here are some GIFs to describe my re-entry so far…

Checking my bank account after I returned from Study Abroad (SA)

Remembering that everyone speaks English again

Listening to peoples ill-informed stereotypes about your SA country

Wait… there’s no Dulce de Leche soft serve ice cream here?!

Remembering how awesome your life was abroad, and how bland life seems back home

Remembering you have to actually be a real student in your home institution

Taking advantage of being to alter your order at a restaurant

Trying to get your friends at home to do the same things as you & your SA friends did abroad

Catching up with Study Abroad Friends

Meeting people  from/traveled to your SA country

Not being able to purchase alcohol legally, after being able to buy it legally for a semester.

When it’s 2 AM and the bars are already closed.

How I perceive myself post SA

What’s going on in Venezuela in a nutshell (English version)

For those of you who do not know, there is very much corruption in Venezuela. This illegitimate government is trying to silence their people, a right we often take for granted in the United States.

To catch up what was going on within the last week in Venezuela & their youth, take 5 minutes out of your day to watch this video.

Please please share this video, every view is another Venezuelan being heard. The creator of the video also has a spanish version of this video on her profile.
